JH and HS can pick up yearbooks at the office or from Mrs. Pummill, Elementary yearbooks will be in the office.
Home volleyball today vs Locust Grove. JH starts at 4:30 followed by JV and varsity matches. Admission will be $5.00 per person. Come support your Lady Bulldogs!!

YPS is excited for the beginning of another school year. Staff members have begun their professional development trainings.
For anyone that is interested in attending, open house is planned for tonight, August 15th from 6:00-7:30. Wednesday, August 16 is our first day of school.
We have made a few adjustments this year. We are working on installing better security at the high school building; therefore, all visitors will be asked to enter through the front doors. 5th graders will begin their day at the high school site before being bussed back to the elementary for the remainder of their day. We are also working on implementing better attendance procedures such as sending out messages to parents when their child is reported with an unexcused absence, and also expecting our students to be in attendance at least 90% of the time in order to participate or attend extra-curricular events. Some excused absences will be taken into consideration when determining a student’s attendance percentage. Tardies will count against a student's attendance percentage. We need our students in class to best meet their learning needs. The attached flyer is an example of how important attendance can be.
We always want to hear from our community. My door is always open, so please don’t hesitate to reach out. I will be happy to answer any of your questions or concerns as best as I can.

All Yale Public Schools staff members will be in professional development on Wednesday and Thursday, August 9 and 10. All school offices will be closed on these days.
Payne County Health Department is in town today to do sports physicals for YYSA at 9:00 in the JH building. If anyone else would like a free sports physical for their Yale Public Schools 6-12th grade student please bring them by between 10-11:30 today. Forms will be available, but the parent portion must be completed and signed before the physical can be performed.
District 3 Mobile Wellness Unit will be in Yale on 08/03/2023. We will be offering our normal services as well as offering back-to-school shots. We will be offering Tdap, DTaP/IPV, and MMRV.
Dear Parents/Guardians of YES 5th Grade Students,
In an attempt to offer new electives for our 5th grade students, we are going to try something a little different. Starting this school year, all 5th graders will start their day in the old gym at the high school. Students that ride a bus in the morning will be dropped off at the JH/HS and car riders can be dropped off right in front of the old gym. From here, our 5/6th grade students will rotate daily between band/music and PE/basketball. At the end of that period, our 5th grade students will have an opportunity to eat breakfast before a bus will shuttle them back to the elementary for the rest of their day. Yale Junior High and High School students will have the opportunity to visit with Mr. Baker about their class schedules on the following days from 8:30-2:00.

Tuesday, August 8- 7-8th grade
6th grade students will be able to pickup their class schedules at Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 15 from 6:00-7:30.

High school volleyball will hold a meeting on Thursday, July 20 at 8:00am in the new gym for anyone interested in playing. Practice will begin on Monday, July 24. Practice and game schedules will be available at the meeting. A sports physical is required before a player can begin practicing.
