The YHS BETA Club will partner with the Yale Fire Station and help collect toys for the Christmas Toy Drive.
On Monday, 7/8th grade basketball will leave at 12:10 for the Keystone Tournament. Girls will play 1:00 boys will follow.
There have been some questions asked about students being in their vehicles after arriving at school. The rule is that students must exit their vehicles as quickly as possible upon parking. This is for their safety and the safety of others. If it is cold or raining, HS students can sit in the cafeteria. JH students can sit in the old gym lobby.
There is also a school policy that upon reasonable suspicion, vehicles parked on school premises can be searched.
Again, these rules and policies are for the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
Happening this Friday, 11/17 starting at 7:30!! Our fifth grade students and ma'ams are invited and will stay at the elementary school after for PE. Hope see all our ma'ams!
YPS will be taking a spirit bus to Keota this Friday, if there is enough student participation, thanks to Earl Elliott Jr. who has volunteered to drive the bus. The bus will leave at 2:00 on Friday. Any 9th-12th grade students that wish to attend will need to return a permission slip along with $10 to reserve their spot. HS reservations must be done by 3:00 Wednesday afternoon. The $10 will be returned to the student when they get on the bus to attend the game. The $10 will cover admission but students may need money for concessions. Students must be in good standing academically and attendance in order to attend.

Over the past several months, many questions have been raised regarding Yale Public Schools adding fastpitch softball. In an attempt to measure the interest level we will survey our 6th-11th grade female students this week. The survey will be very simple and direct. Students will be asked to choose one of the following: I’d like to play fastpitch softball, I’d like to play volleyball, or I have no interest in playing softball or volleyball. Yale High School will host a Veteran’s Day Assembly on Friday, November 10th at 12:00 in the Old Gym. Any and all local veterans are welcome to attend. After the Veteran’s Day Assembly, there will be a pep assembly for the HS football team. The community is welcome to come help us honor our veterans and stay to encourage our band, cheerleaders, players, and coaches.
